Craig Stecyk III From Zephyr & Dogtown Z-Boys & Venice Beach Football Club
On Friday June 20th, VBFC hosted legendary Venice artist Craig Stecyk whose influence in the world of skateboarding and surfing has transcended Los Angeles culture. Together with VBFC, they Collaborated to showcase a series of artwork which blends both VBFC and Stecyk’s photography and his legendary graffiti art style. C.R. Stecyk III was there when Dogtown first drew breath.
A chronicler of chaos, he painted boards, shot photos, and wrote the myth. From the Zephyr shop to the streets of Venice, his outlaw style fused skate, surf, and street into a new visual language. His lens captured the unsanctioned and the sublime—where style was weaponized and rebellion was the brand.
The evening Was a celebration of the parallels between the cultures of both skateboarding and street soccer here in Venice through the eyes of Steyck. New artwork debuted on the walls of the clubhouse along with murals overlooking the beach basketball courts and the Venice Beach rec center handball walls featuring some of the biggest highschool talents in the neighborhood stamped by C.R. Stecyk's new VBFC logo connecting generations of creativity and talent. This event kicks off a weekend of activity for VBFC, as they prepare for VBFC'S first Nike TOMA LA tournament on Sunday, which will take place at the Estadio. Follow our socials for more information.

It has been said that their games are the best show on the oceanfront stage. They have been branded as outlaws due to their aforementioned reimagination of the public resource.
Theirs’ is an urban celebration of the game. Sans any urbane theocracy of sport. Fun is their function. Mayhem is their mantra. Love of the game is the source of their fame. The Dogtown riders of yore inspire the Venice Beach Football Club precisely because the latter never asked permission."
